Adele's trainer says singer lost seven stone by eating only 1,000 calories a day

Adele looks like a new woman after dropping a rumoured seven stone, and it's now claimed she made drastic changes to her diet to achieve this.

According to her former personal trainer, the Someone Like You warbler, 31, ate a meagre 1,000 calories a day - half the recommended intake for a woman.

She followed the The Sirtfood diet, which means she ate foods high in sirtuin activators that can regulate your metabolism like green juice, strawberries, tumeric, olive oil and red onion.

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine, Camila Goodis, who calls herself the Brazilian body wizard, said Adele's transformation is "90 percent diet".

Camila explained: "She looks amazing - she's changed her lifestyle she changed diet. I believe now she's into working out, she's been working out more and more but is 90 per cent what she did is diet.

"There is no secret, I didn't help with any diet, She started doing The Sirtfood diet and now she's maintaining it and eating healthy.

"It's a good diet to shed the weight. The first week is intense, green juices and only 1,000 calories. She doesn't look too thin - she looks amazing."

Camila added: "She'd just had a kid so it was her first workout so I had to work a lot on the pelvic floor.

"When she came for a work out I didn't know it was her and when she left I thought "Oh it looks a little bit like Adele."

It's claimed the songstress was spurred on by "not feeling great" and wanting to change something about her life following the breakdown of her marriage last year.

Adele apparently wanted to be healthier for her son Angelo, seven, whom she shares with her now-ex husband Simon Konecki.

A source told  PEOPLE  : "She got to the point where she didn’t feel great. She knew she had to change something, because she wants to be the healthiest mom possible."
