Adele fans are waking up to the sounds of her latest heartbreak anthem Easy On Me - and casting an eye over the brooding new video that comes with it.
The latest release from the Tottenham native provide a brutally honest insight into her 2019 split from husband Simon Konecki as she pleads not to be judged too harshly for ending their marriage.
In the accompanying 5 minute video, Adele is seen packing up her belongings and hitting the road for a pensive car ride.
As the journey continues, the black and white filter morphs into full colour with Adele heard laughing and joking with the crew in an outtake shared in the dying moments.
According to body language expert Judi James, the singer is battling with two contrasting sides to her personality and deciding which to share with fans in her latest era.
Behind the Dusty Springfield styled pop diva, lies a mother evaluating her entire life after a most painful break-up, says Judi, but by the end of the track she's ready to try and enjoy life once again.

After examining the Easy On Me video in full, here's what Judi has to say...
"The most telling body language in this video comes right at the end (spoiler alert!) when Adele appears to drop out of her tragic role like a ton of bricks and double up with a loud, cackling laugh. Up until then we have been shown her very much in the mood of the song, looking sad, reflective, full of pain and defiant in turns.
"The two versions of Adele provide an intriguing contrast. Like two masks of tragedy and comedy they leave you wondering which is the authentic Adele.
"All Adele’s greatest songs have had very personal messages, but does this denial ritual at the end of this video suggest that all the poignant Adele we see before it is an act performed by the more fun and confident version or is the laughter the mask to hide real, ongoing sadness?

"The ‘sad’ Adele looks and sounds convincing and we see her face in close-up as she reflects on what looks like her life via scenes from other people’s.
"There’s a For Sale sign on the house she leaves with a suitcase in one hand and she is seen taking what looks like a mature and experienced look back at her life.
"Her eyes turn to camera twice for the same line: ‘Go easy on me’. This gesture suggests it is the main theme from the very moving song. Otherwise we see Adele’s facial expression move from pain to signs of anger as her top lip curls up.

"Her hands do most of the work in this video as she is sitting down for much of it and her spiked fingers and dramatic gesticulations in the style of Dusty Springfield, whose make-up and hair she seems to have channelled, are pure musical diva in the best meaning of the word.
"So what we are shown is a woman taking what appears to be a very honest look at her life, venting what looks like some very raw emotions.
"But at the end the message is ‘I was just joking’, as though she wants to reassure her fans that life is really good right now. And hopefully that’s the moment that the mask comes off to show the real Adele, rather than the other way round."
