Pop queen Adele is thought to have splashed out on another Beverly Hills mansion, this time directly next door to the one she paid £6.5 million for five years ago.
Although never on the open market, Adele’s latest buy is rumoured to have cost the London-born singer £7.2 million.
It belonged to Nicole Richie, who last year released a debut rap album about gardening as her alter ego Nikki Fre$h, and musician husband, Joel Madden.
The couple bought the palatial 5,500sq ft property with swimming pool and basketball court for £4.8 million in 2015.
Among suitably glamorous alterations made by the couple was the bespoke grey chicken coop Nicole had built to match her home: “a miniature version of my own house in terms of colour and style,” she told Architectural Digest on a tour in 2017.
The exclusive Los Angeles address still counts Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban among residents.
It is thought Adele owns a third Beverly Hills mansion, for which she paid £7.7 million in 2019, lived in by her ex-husband Simon Konecki.
