I'm A Celebrity fans divided over Adele Roberts and Roman Kemp's Jane McDonald row

The new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has officially had its first row, as Roman Kemp and Adele Roberts clashed over a framed photo of Jane McDonald.

Tuesday night's episode saw the Capital Breakfast host, 26, tease the BBC Radio One DJ, 40, over her luxury item choice but things soon took a turn and became heated.

After teasing Adele about her love for the former Loose Women star, Roman said the decision to bring a photo of her was "just random" which left Adele feeling upset.

After a tense back-and-forth, the Radio 1 DJ told her Capital rival: “That’s prejudice. I’m allowed to like what I want.”

Realising he had made his fellow campmate angry, Roman apologised, saying: “I wasn’t saying that at all. I’m sorry – I didn’t mean to.”

Adele then said: “It’s like you’re saying: ‘Why would I like Jane McDonald?’ I’m not allowed to like what I want?”

Roman managed to defuse the situation, saying, “I like the picture being there,” before giving Roberts a hug.

The exchange soon became a hot topic online as fans were divided over who was in the wrong:

Ahead of the row, Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway challenged the camp to name one of the singer’s tracks, adding: “Jane McDonald is looking over us. Can you think of a song of hers?”

Adele said: “I know her off Loose Women. I don’t know her actual songs but I know her from the cruising show when she does covers.

Roman and Rak-Su member Myles Stephenson laughed and both said: “No one knows what she does,” before Kate replied: “She’s a legend.”

Jane, 56, shot to fame on fly-on-the-wall TV series The Cruise.

Both Adele and Roman have since been voted by the public to take part in the next Bushtucker trial, which will see them eat creepy crawlies in exchange for a prize.

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow on ITV at 9pm.
