Adele lets slip release date of new album as she takes to stage at pal's wedding

Adele let slip the release date of her new album when she took to the stage at her best friend's wedding.

The singer treated guests at pal Laura Dockrill's wedding to a performance of her hit song Rolling in the Deep during the celebrations on Saturday.

As she took the mic she also revealed when she'll release new music, telling them to "expect my album in September"

This will be Adele's first release since her album 25, five years ago, and it's not just fans that are excited.

Florence Welch and Jessie Ware, who were guests at the wedding, were also seen shouting excitedly at the reveal.

As well as performing at Laura's wedding to Maccabees star Hugo White's wedding, Adele also officiated it.

Adele and Laura met while they were both students at BRIT school and have been friends ever since.

The singer hasn't revealed the name of the album as of yet, but looking back at her previous albums - all of which correlate to the age she releases them - we're predicting this one will follow suit.

The new album follows a difficult year for the star, which saw her divorce from husband Simon Konecki.

The mum-of-one has hit the headlines recently after shedding an incredible seven stone.

Whilst she is yet to speak about her weight-loss tips and tricks, a source told People magazine she cut back to 1,000 calories per day, as well as drinking green juice daily.

The source said: "She got to the point where she didn't feel great. She knew she had to change something, because she wants to be the healthiest mum possible."
