Adele has been criticised for a sketch that aired during her SNL appearance over the weekend, which has been branded "offensive" by viewers.
The skit showed Adele poking fun at sex tourism in Africa, with the Someone Like You singer, 32, playing a member of the African Tourist Board who encourages women to fly to the continent for sex with African men.
She played a middle-aged white divorcee woman who had traveled to Africa for sex with a tribesman.
Angry viewers have branded the sketch "sick" and "tone deaf", with one accusing the show and Adele herself of portraying "black men as human sex toys".
In the three minute skit, Adele and comedian Kate McKinnon encourage women to visit Africa for its beautiful scenery.
Backed by a beautiful beach sunset, they say: "Sun, breeze, oceans, mountains, in beautiful Africa."
As Kate says "witness the wonder, the escape, the story" a shirtless black man walks across the screen on the arms of an older white woman.
"The sandy beaches. The massive bamboo," Adele says.
Adele can barely hold her giggles in as the sketch plays out.
She laughs as a divorcee played by Heidi Gardner says she traveled to Africa after splitting from her husband.
"I found a deep, deep connection," Heidi says.
Adele then laughs as the other woman adds: "You can feel it in your stomach."
The slip was shared to SNL's official Instagram page and was slated by its followers.
One commented: "I was actually enjoying it until the comments and the black men carrying white women around... actually felt a bit sick and couldn't enjoy the rest and I adore Adele but I wish she hadn't taken part in this skit."
"This was NOT it. Downright offensive," another posted.
A third said: "The skit about using black men as human sex toys is highly offensive, and tone deaf given the year we've had globally."

It comes after Adele was accused of 'cultural appropriation' after posting one of her latest Instagram pictures.
She posed in a Jamaican flag print bikini and wore her hair in bantu knots in the picture.
