Adele INSISTED on keeping Rocky statue after buying Sylvester Stallone's former home

Sylvester Stallone has revealed that Adele had a peculiar request upon buying his home.

Adele bought the former home from the Hollywood star for $58million (£45.6million), but insisted on keeping the bronze Rocky statue that Sylvester had decorated the house with.

The 76-year-old played boxer Rocky Balboa in the movie franchise which started in the 1970s. He went on the star as the boxer in six films, as well as making a cameo in Creed I and II.

Sylvester's $400 million (£314.3million) net worth enabled him to reside in a stunning Beverly Hills mansion for nearly three decades with his family, which he recently sold to the Rolling in the Deep singer.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, he shared that Adele had taken a liking to the Rocky statue, that overlooked the home's pool and showed the character in his signature fist-pumping pose.

When asked if he wanted to take the statue with him when he sold the house, the actor responded, "I did."

But he revealed that Adele also "wanted the statue" and told him: "That's a no deal. That's gonna blow the whole deal."

Sylvester, who is currently working on a reality TV series with his family, packed up and left the home - and the statue - last year, letting Adele move in.

TMZ reported that the singer is completely transforming the house, with renovations being underway since May.

Upon hearing the news, Sylvester said: "I like what she's doing, she's making it gorgeous."

The property is one of the largest in Beverly Park, Los Angeles, with 3.6 cres and views of the city and a gated community that is jam-packed full of celebrities.

Sylvester had originally listed the 3 ½-acre estate - which featured eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms before Adele's renovations - for $110 million (£86.4million), according to the Los Angeles Times.

He then slashed the price to $80million (£62.9million) in October 2021 before Adele expressed her interest in buying it.
