Adele impersonator plans £11,000 gastric band to copy star's weight loss

An Adele impersonator has revealed her plans to get a gastric band to copy the star's drastic weight loss.

Maria Herriot from Kent has impersonated Adele for several years and in a bid to stay true to life she also wants to lose weight.

Maria also said she wanted to lose the weight for health reasons.

Adele has lost seven stone reportedly, showcasing her transformation on Instagram earlier this year.

Adele reportedly followed the Sirtfood diet, which involves eating foods such as kale, strawberries, onions, parsley, arugula, blueberries, and capers.

Some grains, like buckwheat, and walnuts are praised, as are spices like turmeric.

She also worked out alongside a personal trainer and is said to be a big fan of pilates.

Maria said: "We got a glimpse of her weight loss journey when she was divorcing her husband.

"But the picture of her in the dress in the polka dot dress on the beach, that's what shocked me."

Eamonn said: "I don't think you need to lose weight, I think you look really good."

But Maria said: "You said before that I'm putting my life at risk but I think I'm saving my life, if I gain anymore weight I'll be at risk of diabetes, this was in the pipeline, Adele just got there a bit quicker.

"I want to lose between seven or eight stone and have borrowed £11,000 to do this."

Maria said she had previously had a gastric band but this is a completely different operation and will be permanent.

Maria then sang a chorus of Make You Feel My Love, which impressed Ruth and Eamonn, but many viewers at home questioned her decision to go under the knife.

Daz said: "Why doesn’t that Adele singer just lose weight like most people. Not worth risking your life really. Think her friends and family need to have a word."

Danielle said: "Sounds nothing like @ Adele sorry ! Shes has a good voice though ... why doesnt she loose the weight naturally :("

Nikki said: "Why on earth would you go to such drastic measures to lose weight to look like Adele or anyone for that matter?"

And Greg said: "She looks fine the way she is, could she not just go out as "Adele Classic"?"
