Adele has SNL fans in stitches with hilarious 7st weight loss transformation jokes

Adele had Saturday Night Live viewers in stitches as she bravely addressed her weight loss with a sassy joke in her opening monologue.

The 32-year-old singing sensation looked incredible as she showed off her dramatic weight loss in a gorgeous cinched in plunging blouse and cropped pant.

Alongside a host of witty jokes, the Hello singer addressed her transformation, admitting that she knew she looked different from her last appearance on the show that took place 12 years earlier.

Speaking in front of a live audience at the New York venue, the bombshell revealed that she had to 'travel light' because of the coronavirus pandemic.

"I know I look really, really different since you last saw me," she said while speaking in front of the camera.

"Actually, because of all the Covid restrictions and travel bans, I had to travel light and I could only bring half of me.

"So this is the half that I chose," she concluded.

The SNL crowd then erupted in a huge round of applause as Adele grinned in front of her captivated audience.

Viewers quickly flooded social media with touching compliments as they praised the star for her witty and candid monologue.

"What an amazing transformation. #AdeleSNL Adele points out that her hair is her own," said one fan.

"Solid monologue from @adele with the prerequisite “Hello, it’s me.” @nbcsnl " penned another.

Fans couldn't get enough of Adele's incredible SNL opening speech, where, as well as addressing her newly slimmed down figure, she also added that she had her "own hair".

"I'd rather just put on some wigs - and this is all mine by the way - have a glass of wine or six and just see what happens," she joked.

She also went on to briefly mention politics as well as pointing out her enormous swear jar before closing the speech with an emotional tribute to the front line health workers.

Adele's monologue was just the start of several impressive performances - including a hilarious Bachelor skit - featuring the legendary songstress during the show.
