Adele 'fails to sell out Munich tour amid fan concern she'll cancel last-minute'

Adele has failed to sell out her comeback European tour after postponing the next leg of her Las Vegas residency over doctor’s orders to go on “vocal rest”.

The British singer will play 10 dates in Munich between August 2 and August 24 - her first European tour since 2016.

Despite her widespread popularity, The Sun has said many tickets are still available for the 80,000-capacity concerts on Ticketmaster.

A music insider told the outlet that fans are hesitating to purchase tickets, fearing the Grammy winner, 35, might cancel or reschedule the event once more.

An industry source claimed: “There is some fan reticence about buying the tickets, because people are worried about whether Adele will be well enough to perform them all.

“People follow her extremely closely — and Adele has been silent for a couple of weeks since announcing she was ill and taking a break. So her followers are worried about her and when she will be back.

“But Adele has access to the very best treatment for whatever she needs in California, and a strong team around her.”

Adele announced that her March Las Vegas gigs would be postponed to a later date after disclosing she was put on vocal rest last month.

Her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is wrapping up in June, before heading to Munich for summer stadium gigs.

During her last world tour, Adele Live, she canceled her final two shows at Wembley Stadium in 2017 due to vocal concerns. Her concerns are well founded too having undergone surgery for polyps in her throat in 2011.

It’s not the first time Adele's Munich tour has come under the microscope with fans complaining about the ticket prices online.

Last month, an astonishing 260,000 fans virtually queued for hours, hoping to snag affordable seats for her upcoming summer residency in Germany.

On X (formerly Twitter), fans were crying foul, calling the prices "criminal" and bemoaning the struggle for "regular people to see artists live”

One frustrated fan wrote: “Adele ticket prices are looking insane already why are these artists making it so difficult for regular people to go see them live.”

A third shared: “I’m sorry but the Adele prices are out of pocket.”

Echoing many others sentiments, a fan commented: “I was thinking i could go see Adele but the prices are too crazy.

“Like I'd rather go on vacation with that money just not worth it to me.”

Due to overwhelming demand, the Hello singer has already tacked on four additional dates to her August schedule, bringing the total to 10 shows.

She is set to take to the open-air arena, which will accommodate 80,000 fans each night, on August 2, 3, 9, 10, 14, 16, 23, 24, 30, and 31.
