Adele champions Swedish brand Acne Studios in first trailer for Saturday Night Live

The first trailer for Adele's Saturday Night Live (SNL) hosting gig has been released and, for the occasion, the star rocked a tailored crushed velvet shirt.

The black and brown ombré-hued piece is by Swedish brand Acne Studios (£410, buy now), and the Tottenham-born star accentuated its form-fitting silhouette with black trousers while keeping her hair loose and blow-dried.

In the clip, the 32-year-old quips with fellow songstress H.E.R and SNL cast member Kate McKinnon ahead of its broadcast date on Saturday, with the trio all opting for matching black face masks.

This isn't the first time the 15-time Grammy Award winner has made a splash with her sartorial choices. Earlier in the year, she championed an Elzinga LBD in celebration of her 32nd birthday which set the Internet into disarray with how sensational she looked.

Acne Studios is the brand revered for its achingly cool, Scandi-inspired designs. It was originally founded in 1996 in Stockholm as part of the creative collective ACNE – which stands for Ambition to Create Novel Expressions – that at the time focused only on graphic design, production and advertising.

Just yesterday, the Londoner shared an image to Instagram of her swatting up for her appearance on the American show. The show will mark the star’s first major televised appearance since her last tour in 2016.

Adele’s episode of SNL will be shown on Sunday October 25 at 9pm (GMT) in the UK on Sky Comedy.
