Adele 'begs' ex-husband Simon Konecki to forgive her for divorce in new song

Adele has finally released music following a six-year hiatus.

In true Adele style, the singer had drawn upon her love life - in particular, her divorce from ex-husband Simon Konecki - in order to get her creative juices flowing to pen an epic tune.

And the first track from her new album Easy On Me - which was released on Friday morning - is filled with hints at how she orchestrated the split from Simon - who she shares son Angelo with - and the reasons why she had to end her union with the charity CEO.

Adele also makes it clear how she did not want Simon to have any animosity towards her for making the decision to split in 2019 as she asks him to "go easy on me" in her lyrics for the new track.

The Tottenham native also blames being young and that she did not "get the chance" to "feel the world around me" in the deep song as a key reason to them calling it a day.

Mother of one Adele also goes on to add how she "changed" in order to put her eight-year-old son and Simon first.

She sings how it cannot be denied "how hard" she worked to try and salvage her marriage before adding "now I give up."

In the song, she goes: "Go easy on me, baby, I was still a child,

"Didn't get the chance to feel the world around me,

"I had no time to choose what I chose to do, so go easy on me."

The ballad then hears the talented singer-songwriter belt: "There ain't no room for our things to change

"When we are both so deeply stuck in our ways, you can't deny how hard I've tried

"I changed who I was to put you both first, but now I give up."

Many had believed Adele to be married since 2016, but she recently revealed they didn't wed until 2018.

She publicly filed for divorce in 2019.

The song is the first single to be released from her upcoming album called 30, which is set for release on November 19.

Before its release, the award-winning songstress from North London shared a detailed description about the emotional trauma that went into the brand new album.

She said: "I was certainly nowhere near where I'd hoped to be when I first started it nearly 3 years ago.

"Quite the opposite actually. I rely on routine and consistency to feel safe, I always have.

"And yet there I was knowingly – willingly even, throwing myself into a maze of absolute mess and inner turmoil!

"I've learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way. I’ve shed many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones."
