Adele album release date and what her new music is inspired by

International superstar singer, Adele, is returning with her new album '30' – her first new record in six years.

Her last album '25' was released in 2015 to generally positive reviews, with Rolling Stone, The Daily Telegraph (and others) giving it five stars.

Her new album has already been previewed to the critics, with The Telegraph again giving Adele five stars and The Times, i and Evening Standard opting to give her four stars.

In addition to giving the album five stars, Rolling Stone's Rob Sheffield described the new record as "the best Adele album yet", going on to say: "She's never sounded more ferocious than she does on 30—more alive to her own feelings, more virtuosic at shaping them into songs in the key of her own damn life."

What inspired Adele's new album?

In a post on Twitter, Adele described '30' as her "ride or die throughout the most turbulent period of her life."

Later in the statement, she revealed: "I've painstakingly rebuilt my house and my heart since then and this album narrates it. Home is where the heart is."

In a British Vogue interview, Adele described the new record as a way to explain her divorce to her nine-year-old son, Angelo.

Her divorce from Simon Konecki is believed to have inspired much of the new album.

What is the tracklist for Adele's new album?

The tracklist for '30' was revealed on Apple Music and featured the single "Easy On Me" as well as other tracks "I Drink Wine", "Love Is A Game" and more:

  2. Easy On Me
  3. My Little Love
  4. Cry Your Heart Out
  5. Oh My God
  6. Can I Get It
  7. I Drink Wine
  8. All Night Parking (with Errol Garner) Interlude
  9. Woman Like Me
  10. Hold On
  11. To Be Loved
  12. Love Is A Game

Three bonus tracks will be available on the American version of the album, released through retailer Target.

These are "Wild Wild West", "Can't Be Together", and a version of the first single, "Easy On Me", with American singer/songwriter Chris Stapleton.

When is Adele's new album released?

Adele's new album' 30' will be released on 19 November 2021, on Melted Stone, under exclusive license to Columbia Records, a Division of Sony Music Entertainment.

It is available to pre-order now on Adele's website. She will also be performing on two dates in Hyde Park on July 1 and July 2, 2022.
