Adelaide's influential vice-captain Sarah Allan is tipped to make her AFLW comeback in the looming high-stakes encounter against North Melbourne.

The triple premiership star is yet to feature this season because of a hamstring injury.

But the Crows expect the three-time All Australian to return for Sunday's home clash against the Kangaroos.

"Sarah did a big block of training last week and we expect her to do the same this week," Adelaide's head of women's football Phil Harper said on Tuesday.

"She has hit all her markers and is going really well.

"Given she gets through the week without any issues, she should be available for selection this Sunday."

The Norwood Oval encounter looms as pivotal, with the Crows - after losing their first game of the season last weekend - holding second spot, just one win ahead of the third-placed Roos.

But Harper doubts Irishwoman Yvonne Bonner, who has missed the past two games because of a medial ligament strain in a knee, will be available.

"Yvonne is continuing to increase her training load and has started doing more change of direction activities," Harper said.

"She is tracking well but may need another week before she returns."
