A 17-year-old boy will face an Adelaide court on Friday charged with sex offences against two other children, police have said.
South Australia's Department for Education has said the alleged incidents involved public school students, and occurred outside of school hours.
Police have confirmed that a 17-year-old from Adelaide's western suburbs was arrested on March 18.
"[He was] charged with sexual-related offences with respect to two juvenile victims," police said in a statement.
Police did not provide further details about the charges, but said the boy had been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on May 28.
"As the matter is before the court, police have no further comment to make at this time," police said.
In a statement, an Education Department spokesperson said the department was aware of the police investigation into the matter.
"Our schools take their duty of care very seriously and support students to report matters to police and provide a range of services to those impacted.
"The department is not in a position to provide further comments in relation to matters before the court."
