Adelaide Crows name unchanged team for AFL grand final

Andy Otten has retained his place in the Adelaide Crows team for this Saturday's AFL grand final against Richmond at the MCG.

The versatile forward-defender has kept his place in Adelaide's team after replacing Mitch McGovern in the big preliminary final win over Geelong.

McGovern was ruled out of the side on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury but he travelled to Melbourne with the rest of the squad on Thursday afternoon.

Also among the 25-man squad were Wayne Milera, Reilly O'Brien and Alex Keath.

There had also been doubts over whether Hugh Greenwood was fit enough to play.

But earlier today assistant coach Scott Camporeale said the former basketballer was "fine".

"He got through training yesterday [Wednesday] so we expect him to play," he said.

"He's fine ... ticked all the boxes."

The Adelaide squad is now in Melbourne after flying from Adelaide this afternoon.

Players and coaches from both teams will take part in Friday's grand final parade. The Crows will also have a closed training session at the MCG.

Camporeale said the Crows were well prepared and rested for the grand final on Saturday.

"To play on a Friday night [preliminary final], that gives us an extra day of rest and the training's been of a good standard this week," he said.

"So to be quite honest it's been a really normal week for us up until now when we get over to Melbourne."

Richmond also names an unchanged team

Two South Australians originally from the North Adelaide Football Club will line up for Richmond with Jack Graham to play just his fifth AFL game.

The former state under-18 captain was drafted last year by the Tigers with selection 53.

"I think Jack's going to end up playing more finals than minor round games this year which is absolutely fantastic for him," North Adelaide Football Club chief executive Greg Edwards said.

Shane Edwards has played more than 200 games for the Tigers over 11 seasons and will play in the midfield and forward line for Richmond.

Greg Edwards is Shane's father and said he was very proud.

"Exciting, look it's been a little while coming since he's been there, they all deserve it, they have worked hard for it," he said.

The Tigers have not won a premiership since 1980 while the Crows were successful in 1997 and 1998.
