Adding an hour to 2020 is all kinds of messed up

Today marks Daylight Savings Time ending, when we fall back an hour, for reasons that honestly I’m far too tired and broken to look up right now. I think Ben Franklin had something to do with it?

Anyway, we get another hour. And I know for some people this means they get to sleep in more, which they enjoy, and for parents of young children it means that their kids are going to get all turned around and this will be a mess for sleep cycles for a few weeks, and there are others who don’t like that it gets dark early, and honestly, whatever, you can look up this whole debate on Twitter.

I’m just here to make a simple point: Adding another hour to this year is some kind of cruel joke, and I take personal offense to it.

This is another hour I have to experience in 2020, this most hellish of years, and I’d like to talk to someone about this. I don’t know if it’s Ben Franklin or who, but I want to make clear to someone in charge that I don’t like this.

OK blog over.
