Adam Zampa, girlfriend exchange Hindi expletives; social media has a field day

The picture that Hattie Leigh Palmer instagrammed with Australian and Rising Pune Supergiant cricketer and boyfriend Adam Zampa.

One would expect Australian leg spinner Adam Zampa to make news during the ongoing IPL (Indian Premier League) season, the way he did last year when he took 6 wickets for 19 runs for Rising Pune Supergiant against Sunrisers Hyderabad. But he has got his fans’ attention for something else altogether — his latest interaction with partner Hattie Leigh Palmer on Instagram; which some dubbed as ‘the cricketer imbibing the best of Indian culture’.

So what happened? Hattie Palmer instagrammed a picture with Adam Zampa with a caption that read, “Thanks for the memories, India. Mera m**e le, Adam.” And if that wasn’t enough, Adam Zampa was quick to reply from his official account saying “Ma***rr ch*****d.”

While it’s not clear if the cricketer and his partner even knew what they were writing or if it was generally a fun exchange of all things new that they learned in India, social media had all the fun they could with it.
