Adam Thomas has shared a series of behind-the-scenes snaps as filming gets underway on Waterloo Road. The Emmerdale favourite delighted fans in September last year when he confirmed his return to BBC drama.

The 33-year-old actor who played a pupil in the original series is reprising his role as Donte Charles alongside original co-stars Angela Griffin, from Leeds, who is back as Kim Campbell and Katie Griffiths who is returning as Chlo Charles.

Adam shared his excitement while on set on Tuesday, June 24 as he smiled for a selfie next to his dressing room door next to a sign that read "Donte Charles."

He also showed a clip of some of his cast mates who are playing the students dressed in their school uniforms, he joked: "Never had this when I was in school, this new generation of kids don't know they're born haha" as the youngster were seen fanning themselves and enjoying a water break.
