Adam Thomas and son 'attacked by thug' who tried to steal soap star's bike

Adam Thomas had to wrestle away a crook who tried to steal the Emmerdale star's electric bike, reports say.

Adam - who's in the restaurant biz with Manchester spot The Spinn - was making deliveries to houses in the area when the reported incident occurred.

He was also said to have had six-year-old lad Teddy with him - and thankfully no one was hurt and the hospital wasn't needed.

An insider told The Sun : "Lockdown has been hard on everyone and [Adam] wanted to do what he could to help his restaurant and he was really excited to have Teddy with him.

"Unfortunately things took a dramatic turn when a thug appeared and tried to wrestle the bike off him.

"A member of staff rushed to his aide and knocked the thief off it and he ran off."

The Mirror contacted Adam's rep for comment, who declined comment to The Sun.

On the night of the incident, proud dad Adam shared a snap of himself and Teddy, writing: "Me and lil Teddy On our first delivery for @thespinn_ tonight."

He launched the restaurant in 2019 with school days best mate Scott Graham, the year after he left his Emmerdale role as Adam Barton.

Adam starred on the Yorkshire soap for eight years "to move on and challenge [himself] with some new roles."

In 2017 he tied the knot with Caroline Daly, having welcomed Teddy back in 2014.

Shortly after their wedding, they announced they were expecting their second child, and introduced daughter Elsie-Rose to the world the following year.

More recently fans have got their hopes up that he could be making an Emmerdale comeback after a cryptic hint.

"Can't remember the last time I picked up a script..." he tweeted, "Time to get back."

ITV colleague and director Duncan Foster commented: "Intriguing...x."

Bhasker Patel, who plays Rishi, chimed in: "Coming Dales? By any chance! That laughter is well missed in Yorkshire! Oh and your Hugs! Out of this world! @emmerdale @itv."
