Adam Thielen just missed out on PFF’s top-50 player list

Last week, the folks at Pro Football Focus put together a list of their top-50 players heading into the 2019 NFL season.

The Vikings had just one player on that list, safety Harrison Smith.

The biggest snub for the Vikings seemed to be wide receiver Adam Thielen. PFF released the 10 players who just missed the cut, because CLICKS!

Thielen ranked third on this list.

Here’s what PFF wrote about Thielen:

What Thielen did this past season was incredible. The former undrafted Minnesota State product earned a career-high 89.5 receiving grade in just his second season with 1,000-plus offensive snaps played. Among NFL receivers with 300-plus routes run in 2018, Thielen ranked seventh in receiving grade (89.5), 15th in yards per route run and 13th in passer rating when targeted (115.4).

It feels like Thielen is going to have another big season. Over the last two seasons, he’s averaged 102 catches for 1,324 yards and 6.5 touchdowns. I’d be surprised if his numbers in 2019 aren’t similar to that.
