Adam Schefter reports that Washington has no intentions of trading Trent Williams

It seems that the Washington Redskins feel confident in their chances to mend the relationship with Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams, as they have not yet engaged teams in trade offers for the veteran, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Schefter reported on Monday evening that several teams have repeatedly called Washington, inquiring about trading for the 31-year-old who is holding out from the Redskins, but Washington has showed no interest in dealing Williams.

Williams started his holdout in Minicamp and OTAs this spring, and it has continued throughout the summer and into fall camp. The holdout is rumored to be based off of a dispute that Williams has had with the medical staff and a misdiagnosis they gave him over a growth on his head.

Rumors about the Redskins eventually trading Williams have been present for the past month or so, but if Schefter is to be believed, Washington plans to be keeping their best player for as long as they can.
