Adam Peaty admitted his emotions got ahead of him after he swore live on BBC One after winning gold at the Tokyo Olympics.
Peaty was the heavy favourite heading into the 100-metre breaststroke final, having been the first man to break both 58 and 57 seconds in his signature event.
Come the final, it was never in doubt as Peaty posting the fifth-fastest time in history - 57.37 seconds - to blow away the field and become the first British swimmer to ever defend their Olympic title.
Interviewed after his win, which was Team GB's first gold medal in Tokyo, Peaty said live on BBC Sport: "I haven't felt this good since 2016!"
He later added: "It’s about who f****** wants it more... I'm just so f****** relieved!
The presenter, ignoring the swear word, said how proud the team were of him.
Peaty replied: "Sorry about the swearing, I'm very emotional."
Arno Kamminga of the Netherlands claimed the silver in 58.00, while the bronze went to Italy's Nicolo Martinenghi in 58.33.
