Adam Peaty's incredible net worth – and how much he was paid for Strictly 2021

Adam Peaty, who brought home gold medals in the men's 100m breaststroke and mixed 4 x 100m medley relay, has been strutting his stuff on the Strictly Come Dancing stage.

The Olympian showed off his dance skills alongside Katya Jones on the new series, and though he couldn’t continue his winning streak from the pool to the dance floor, he left the show impressing judges.

A world record holder for the 50m and 100m breaststroke, Peaty became the first British male to bring home gold in the 100m event in 24 years at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

He was also appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to swimming back in 2017 for his performance at the Rio games the previous year.

But like other British athletes, he isn’t paid anything for winning medals at the Olympics. So where does he earn all his money from?

What is Adam Peaty’s net worth?

As of 2021, Adam Peaty’s net worth is estimated to be between $1 and $5 million (£71,635,000-£3.5 million).

All athletes in Britain are supported by lottery and government funding. Besides this, his earnings in his athletic career come mainly from corporate sponsorships and endorsements.

How else does Adam Peaty earn money?

Besides being sought after for advertisements, Peaty is also a trainer and entrepreneur who founded his own business, the Adam Peaty Sports Clinic, to coach aspiring Olympians to success.

How did he get paid for Strictly?

Peaty's appearance on Strictly is likely to have added to his wealth and profile, as well as his chances for future brand deals.

The standard fee for taking part on the showing is reported to be £25,000. For the lucky celebrity who wins and lifts the glitterball, the price money is a whopping £100,000.

Along with Strictly appearances boosting the stars’ profiles, the show also often sees contestants going on to feature in other TV shows and attract additional advertising opportunities.
