The Grammy-nominated artist, 41, has confirmed he will take over the Royal Albert Hall on June 5.

The American singer-songwriter, who was runner-up on the 2009 series of singing competition television series American Idol, announced the news before his performance at London’s KOKO tonight (February 27).

Lambert will also play Cologne’s Palladium in Germany on June 10.

The announcement follows the release of Lambert’s album High Drama last week.

The covers album involves Lambert showcasing a diverse collection of songs from Holding Out For a Hero to Ordinary World and Sex on Fire to Chandelier.

Sharing the news of his summer concerts on Twitter, Lambert wrote: “I’m so excited to play at the iconic @RoyalAlbertHall on June 5th and take the stage at Cologne’s Palladium on June 10th!”

His album and tour follow his three-year The Rhapsody Tour with legendary group Queen.

With Lambert as lead vocalist, the group performed some of their most iconic songs to sold-out arenas worldwide.
