Adam Lambert, Queen kick off the Oscars without a host

The Oscars apparently forgot they weren't the Grammys.

Trapped without a host after Kevin Hart stepped down, Hollywood's biggest night went with Adam Lambert to open the show, performing on stage with Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen in honor of "Bohemian Rhapsody."

The "American Idol" kicked off the night with a rocking start at the Dolby Theatre Sunday night with flashy renditions of "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" while the crowd sang along.

The Oscars went without a host for the first time in 30 years after Hart's homophobic tweets went viral online. Instead, a series of celebrities and "outsiders," including Serena Williams, stepped in to carry the event.
