Adam Lallana responds to Jordan Henderson’s emotional Liverpool farewell message

Adam Lallana may no longer be a Liverpool player, but his connection with the club and the players will always remain.

The 32-year-old recently ended his six-year stint with the Reds, and has signed a long-term contract with fellow Premier League club Brighton.

During his time with Liverpool, Lallana made 261 appearances in all competitions and chipped in with 59 goals and 48 assists.

Lallana also developed a close friendship with Reds captain Jordan Henderson during his time on Merseyside.

The Liverpool captain has penned an emotional tribute to his friend and former team mate on Instagram.

“Thank you for everything you have done for me, my family and this football club,” Henderson wrote.

“It’s been amazing to share our dreams together and I will miss you more than anyone. But I wish you and your family the very best in your next chapter and can’t wait to see you back to what you do best.

“Brighton have signed a world class footballer but an even better person and I’m sure they will see that from the very first day.

“See you soon brother #YNWA. P.s. loving the #14.”

Lallana, who has taken the shirt number ‘14’ with the Seagulls, responded with an emotional reply to his friend.

“Not what I needed to read whilst packing my house up,” Lallana wrote. “Brothers forever.”
