The family of RTE Late Late Show hero Adam King have praised Katie Taylor after she surprised them on last night's show.
The Bray boxer appeared earlier in the show, but decided to hang around for almost two hours to meet the Toy Show star and surprise his family with an amazing gesture.
Supplying Olympic packs for the entire family as well as a signed poster for Adam, Taylor vowed to bring one of Adam's famous virtual hugs to her next fight.
Taking to Twitter, they said: "It was an absolute honour to meet you Katie Taylor - thank you for inspiring us all. We would be humbled and delighted if you took #adamsvirtualhug to your next fight!
"Really appreciate you taking the time to meet us and all the lovely things you said about Adam, thank you".
And responding to the tweet, Taylor sent her best wishes to Adam and his family.
She said: "The honour was mine, you are a hero Adam and you’ve such an incredible family. Much love to you all!".
Taylor had appeared on the show prior to Adam and his family, but stayed around to meet them and gift them with a signed picture and some Olympics merchandise.
The undisputed lightweight queen provided the youngster with some brilliant advice, telling him that "you don't need a gold medal to be a hero" and viewers couldn't get enough of it.
