Adam Johnson to be sent to same prison as Ian Huntley and Levi Bellfield

Adam Johnson faces being incarcerated at the same high-security prison as Ian Huntley and Levi Bellfield.

Johnson, 28, was found guilty at Bradford Crown Court of sexual activity of a girl aged 15 and sexual touching.

He will first be held in HM Prison Leeds a mile from the city centre.

It is expected the ex-England footballer will be moved to HM Prison Frankland in County Durham so he is closer to his family.

Frankland holds 808 in separate cells and has sports facilities as well as a gym.

Johnson could face up to 10 years in prison.

He was released on bail until his sentencing which is due to take place in two to three weeks.

Ian Huntley was given two life sentences for the 2002 Soham murders of 10-year-old schoolgirsl Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.

Levi Bellfield is serving a whole life sentence for the murder of 13-year-old Milly Dowler, 19-year-old Marsha McDonnell and 22-year-old Amelie Delagrange.

Bellfield was also  found guilty of the attempted murder of 18-year-old Kate Sheedy, she survived.
