Adam Forshaw pictured with Leeds United first team in training alongside Sean McGurk

Adam Forshaw has been pictured in training with Leeds United’s first team with the first pre-season friendly just three days away.

The 29-year-old has not played for Marcelo Bielsa’s side for 22 months, but saw a chink of light at the end of his long injury tunnel before the end of last term.

Forshaw managed to feature for more than 80 minutes with the under-23s in April before another muscular issue kept him out of first-team contention before the campaign ended.

Now though, with a few more months of rehabilitation behind him, Forshaw is front and centre in the latest picture gallery the club put has out from Thorp Arch.

While there is no footage of the type of training they are doing, Forshaw seems to be among the main group at the training ground.

Robin Koch, Jack Harrison, Junior Firpo, Jamie Shackleton, Rodrigo, Patrick Bamford, Helder Costa, Pascal Struijk, Diego Llorente, Tyler Roberts and Illan Meslier were also spotted in the gallery.

Of the younger players to be mixing with the main group, Sean McGurk, Liam McCarron, Jack Jenkins, Charlie Allen, Dani van den Heuvel and Elia Caprile were also sighted.

The first friendly of the summer takes place at Guiseley on Tuesday night.
