Adam Forshaw hails Eddie Nketiah’s desire after Leeds United loanee’s match-winning cameo

Adam Forshaw has praised Eddie Nketiah for his match-winning impact from the bench in Wednesday night’s 1-0 victory over Brentford.

The Arsenal loanee came on for his first league appearance for the club and marked it with a second Leeds United goal, having scored the opener in last week’s 3-0 win at Salford.

Leeds fans were , having now scored in every game in which he’s featured for the Whites: his Championship debut, his competitive debut in the League Cup, and his Under-23s debut on Tuesday.

Forshaw, who has played every minute of the Championship campaign so far, gave insight into how Nketiah has performed in training.

“Really positive, he’s waiting, he wants to play games when he’s come on loan, and there’s no better way to come on and make your mark by scoring a goal,” said the midfielder after the match.

“He’s sharp, he moves really well, he’s young, he’s Bambi on his feet, I think you saw when he latched onto one early when he came on. He’s just a great addition”
