Adam Forshaw absent as Jamie Shackleton returns to Leeds United's starting XI for Barnsley trip

Marcelo Bielsa has made one change to his Leeds United XI for this afternoon's Yorkshire derby at Oakwell.

The Whites are back in action after going into the international break on the back of their first defeat of the season following the 1-0 home reverse to Swansea City.

Adam Forshaw is absent from the matchday squad after failing a late fitness test following a minor hip issue and is replaced by academy graduate Jamie Shackleton for the Sunday lunchtime clash. Forshaw is expected to be available for next weekend's clash against Derby County.

That means Kiko Casilla continues in goal in front of a back-four of Stuart Dallas, Liam Cooper, Ben White and Gjanni Alioski.

Kalvin Phillips, Shackleton and Mateusz Klich will operate in the centre of midfield, while Pablo Hernandez and Jack Harrison will play out wide with leading scorer Patrick Bamford again leading the line-up front.

There is a return to the bench for Tyler Roberts, who makes his first appearance in a matchday squad this season, with Robbie Gotts also being recalled to the squad.

A win for Leeds will see the side move back to the top of the Championship table, following yesterday's defeats for Swansea and Charlton.

Former Leeds trio Aapo Halme, Alex Mowatt and Mallik Wilks have all been named in the Tykes starting XI, with Clarke Oduor on the bench.

Leeds United XI: Casilla; Alioski, Cooper, White, Dallas; Phillips; Harrison, Shackleton, Klich, Hernandez; Bamford

Subs : Meslier, Berardi, Douglas, Gotts, Roberts, Costa, Nketiah
