Ada Wong is involved in Resident Evil Requiem DLC, suggests leaker

Resident Evil Requiem is full of fan-service moments, including several on-your-face references and subtle cameos that are bound to make any RE fan deeply nostalgic. That said, one of the things that didn’t sit well with many, including myself, was the sheer absence of Leon’s heartthrob, the enigmatic Ada Wong, in Requiem‘s campaign.

It seems that’s about to change, as a new report from a prominent leaker suggests Wong is involved in the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem DLC.

Capcom unintentionally confirmed Ada Wong in Resident Evil Requiem DLC, claims Golem

The report comes from Dusk Golem, who posted on X (formerly Twitter) about a potential slip-up that seemingly confirms Ada Wong’s presence in Resident Evil Requiem.

According to Golem, “Ada Wong is very likely in the Resident Evil Requiem’s DLC,” and that it doesn’t come from his source but an unintentional leak that was brought to his attention by X user Stiviwonder.

Golem didn’t clarify any further, except that this publicly available but unnoticed piece of information might get someone fired, presumably at Capcom.

It’s no surprise that Ada Wong is one of the most popular Resident Evil characters to date. Many fans were hoping to learn more about her whereabouts and her complicated relationship with the series’ darling boy, Leon Kennedy, in Resident Evil Requiem, even more so after many spotted Leon donning a ring on his wedding finger in the game’s concept art.

If Wong makes an appearance in Resident Evil Requiem’s DLC, there’s a slight possibility that we might learn whether she’s Leon’s mystery partner or if it’s someone else altogether.

It’s worth noting that Ada Wong hasn’t appeared in a mainline Resident Evil game since RE 6. Village’s concept art showed she was supposed to be in that game as a masked person who saved Ethan Winters, but that story arc was eventually scrapped.

As of this writing, no concrete info is available on Resident Evil Requiem’s DLC, except that “it will delve deeper into the world of Requiem.”

If you have completed Requiem‘s campaign, you are probably aware of some of the remaining loose threads and the potential directions it could take Resident Evil’s overly complex narrative in this DLC and future installments.
