'Actual icon': Hilarious Lothian Buses driver dresses up as The Grinch for Christmas shift

Forget Christmas jumpers and tinsel, a Lothian Buses driver went full out for his festive shift - and people absolutely loved it.

It's been a tough year, so a bit of humour goes a long way and this Edinburgh bus driver has sure lifted everyone's spirits.

Alec Millar sent his daughter a laugh out loud photo shoot of himself dressed up as The Grinch at the capital's bus terminal.

Sharing the snaps of her dad looking like the fictional Dr. Seuss character, she said: "If you see my dad today, no you didn’t x"

The tweet has racked up thousands of likes, and Lucy revealed that her dad had set up the whole scene and taken the pictures himself at the terminus.

The 48-year-old, who is a former taxi driver, had filmed himself and then screenshotted photos which he sent to his daughter - who naturally shared them on social media.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Lucy said: "He did it last year too, he’s always been the joker in the family always wants to make everyone laugh."

Adding that her dad has worked for Lothian Buses for the last couple of years, she said "he's been doing stuff like this for years".

We think Alec definitely deserves employee of the month for this stunt.
