Jamie Redknapp says he doesn't like what he hears about Arsenal star Matteo Guendouzi.
The 21-year-old midfielder has made 34 appearances so far for the Gunners across all competitions this season.
But while former Liverpool midfielder turned pundit Redknapp is an admirer of Guendouzi's talent, he is less than impressed by his attitude.
“He can definitely play, make no mistake about it, he’s got talent. He acts like he’s a big player and he’s not yet," he said on Sky Sports. "You’ve got to earn the right to become a big player.
"You’ve got to produce performances. I remember the game last year actually at Southampton, Tony Adams was on (Sky Sports), we did some analysis on him as a midfield player not tracking players, not working hard enough.
"At that age, you should be just learning the ropes. You should be doing everything you can to become a really good player. I don’t like the messages I hear about him.

"This is a couple of times now that Mikel Arteta has had to leave him out of the squad, at 21 years of age, because you’re not doing things correctly. That shouldn’t be happening. That suggests there’s something wrong at the club when that’s happening.
“Imagine the young man behaving like that with the likes of Tony (Adams) and Thierry Henry - it wouldn’t happen.”
Gunners legend Sol Campbell also joined the debate, believing other players have a bigger role to play in keeping Guendouzi in check.
“I think it’s a little bit down to the characters at the club," the former defender added.
"If you’ve got good characters and strong characters and guys who just want to play football and get on with it, when this happens, it gets snuffed out and policed internally.
"It doesn’t start creeping onto the pitch and the manager doesn’t have to sort it out. Senior proper players who have got a bit about them.
"When I was at Arsenal, you’ve got all of these other characters around and someone does come in, it gets handled. It doesn’t even go up to the manager.”
