CUTTACK: Actress Varsha Priyadarshini on Wednesday lodged a complaint with Cyber police station in Cuttack alleging that some persons are trying to tarnish her image and defame her on social media.
The complaint was filed just a day after her estranged husband and actor turned MP Anubhav Mohanty posted a video on their marital discord on Tuesday. DCP Pinak Mishra said, "We have received the complaint in which Varsha has accused some persons of plotting a conspiracy to malign her image in public. A case was registered under sections 509 of the IPC and 67 of the IT Act in this connection."
"A team of experts have been engaged to check the social media page which was being used to defame Varsha and cyber police has received some screenshots. We are trying to find out its creator," added Mishra. tnn
