Actress Una Stubbs, best known for roles in the film Summer Holiday and in the BBC sitcoms Till Death Us Do Part and In Sickness And In Health, has died at the age of 84, her agent said.
The actress passed away at her home in Edinburgh surrounded by her family following an illness over the past few months.
Following her early role in Sir Cliff Richard's Summer Holiday, Stubbs shot to fame in the 1960s and progressed to become one of the UK’s best-loved stars.
She began her career in entertainment as a dancer before going on to play Alf Garnett's daughter Rita in Till Death Us Do Part and the 1980s follow-ups 'Til Death and In Sickness and In Health.

In the late 1990s she appeared in the children’s show The Worst Witch and also starred in EastEnders, The Catherine Tate Show and sitcom Benidorm as well as becoming a favourite of young audiences as Aunt Sally in Worzel Gummidge.
She also starred in the BBC’s Sherlock as landlady Mrs Hudson alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
Stubbs was also a known face on game show Don't Say A Word and it's follow-up Give us a Clue.
