Actress to play Belle in this year's Falkirk Beauty and the Beast panto announced

The actress who will play Belle in Falkirk's pantomime this year has been announced.

Kim Shepherd will be gracing the stage of the town hall as the character from Beauty and the Beast for the first time.

She will be joined by Barbara Bryceland as Fairy Fiona and Scott Watson as Wee Frankie McClunkey this festive season.

Speaking of what was in store for audiences, Kim said: “Expect a spectacle of comedy, romance and suspense, with fantastic sets, costumes, great music and a top-notch cast.

“What more could you possibly want?”

It comes after the panto was eventually forced to be cancelled last year after a series of postponements due to coronavirus.

Put on by the Falkirk Community Trust, the first show will take place on Friday December 10 and the last on Wednesday December 29.

Several socially distance performances have also been organised as well as a relaxed one on Tuesday December 14.
