Actress Takako Matsu becomes 1st Japanese to sing at Academy Awards

Actress Takako Matsu will sing at the 92nd Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. It will be the first time for a Japanese to sing at the ceremony.

Matsu, who plays the leading role of Elsa in the Japanese dubbed version of "Frozen II" will sing the theme song "Into the Unknown," which has been nominated for Best Original Song, along with Idina Menzel of the United States and other women who voiced Elsa in various languages. "I hope those watching will enjoy the performance," Matsu said.
