Actor who played Mini-Me in 'Austin Powers' movies recorded LAX Taser incident

May 20--Police at Los Angeles International Airport deployed a Taser on a man who breached security Wednesday morning at a screening area.

After police used the Taser, the man was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment, according to Los Angeles airport police.

Police said the man was not cooperating with Transportation Security Administration officers in the airport screening area at Terminal 6.

Airport police tried to assist TSA officers, but the man refused to cooperate and pushed past an officer, police said. They followed him and detained him at Gate 66.

Videos taken by airport passengers and posted to social media show the man lying on the ground as an officer deploys the Taser.

The man appeared to be moving around on the ground as the officer followed him and pointed the Taser at him.

Actor Verne Troyer, best known for his role as "Mini-Me" in the Austin Powers film series, was at the airport and filmed the man's interaction with police.

In Troyer's video, an officer appears to be placing handcuffs on the man, who then breaks free and walks away. The officer yells, "Get on the ground, sir. You wanna get Tased? Stop."

The video shows the man ignoring officers as he walks up a flight of stairs. The officer then yells, "Taser, Taser, Taser." Moments later, the Taser was deployed.

Los Angeles airport police are investigating the incident.
