Actor who appeared as a goblin in Harry Potter and an Ewok in Star Wars exposed himself at an arcade while dressed as a jockey

An actor who appeared as a goblin in Harry Potter and an Ewok in Star Wars exposed himself at an arcade while dressed as a jockey.

Nicholas Read was caught on CCTV walking up to a 2p slot machine before pulling his white trousers down. He claimed he thought it was a urinal.

Read had been hired for a stag do at the time.

The 48-year-old has a number of sex offences on a criminal record dating back to 1995.

He was hauled before the court back in 2012 for exposing himself to a student on a train to Manchester. Read was caught on camera by the woman's pal before being arrested.

At the time, Read had just enrolled on a sex offender treatment programme for a similar crime.

During his latest crime, Read - who appeared as an Ewok in Star Wars: Episode VI and a goblin in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone - was in an arcade at Ingoldmells, Lincolnshire, on March 2 for a stag weekend.

A member of staff approached Read, who was still standing by the machine with his trousers down, and asked him to leave.

Read, of Cheadle, Stoke-on-Trent, admitted a charge of outraging public decency when he appeared at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Friday March 29.

The court heard Read claimed he was so drunk he thought the arcade machine was a urinal.

Following his crime on a Manchester-bound train, Read was given a suspended jail term.

He performed a sex act while travelling from London to Leicester on a train in 2010.

Read was handed a 12-month community order and given a 7am to 7pm curfew for six months.

He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
