ACTIVISTS gathered around a police van in Glasgow after officers allegedly attempted to detain a man at a pro-Palestine demonstration.
It is understood the protest was held by the Gaza Genocide Emergency Committee.
Footage from the scene shows a large police presence and a crowd gathered around a police van shouting "let him go".
Police Scotland insisted that no protesters had been arrested or charged.

The man was then reportedly released, with video showing him getting out of the van and being met with cheers from the crowd.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Sunday, 11 May, 2025 officers attended a planned protest at the junction of Sauchiehall Street and Buchanan Street in Glasgow.
“Officers have engaged with protestors and remain at the scene.
“There have been no arrests and officers are working to minimise disruption to the wider public.”
An earlier protest saw campaigners from Art Workers for Palestine (AWP) meet at Buchanan Steps on Sunday morning to protest a conference being held by Glasgow Friends of Israel (GFI)
An earlier version of this story suggested the man was detained at the morning protest organised by AWP, this was inaccurate.
