Activision Blizzard employee to reveal ‘demands for accountability and justice’ at press conference

Attorney Lisa Bloom announced a press conference demanding Activision Blizzard take accountability for its toxic work culture.

Bloom, owner of California-based The Bloom Firm, along with a current Blizzard employee that Bloom represents, will be outside the company’s headquarters Wednesday at 9 A.M. PDT.

“A woman currently employed at Blizzard Entertainment and her attorney, Lisa Bloom, will describe the alcohol-soaked culture of sexual harassment the woman endured,” reads a press release. “Including numerous sexual come-ons and physical touching, and the retaliation experienced after she reported the sexual assault.”

The press release goes on to note that despite the California Fair Employment and Housing’s lawsuit and  extensive reporting on the allegations against Activision Blizzard, the company has “shrunk” responsibility. The identity of the Blizzard employee has not been revealed as of Tuesday.

You can read the complete statement from Bloom below.

The announcement of this press conference comes only a day after Raven Software, one of Activision Blizzard’s studios, began  planning a walkout following the layoff of many of its quality assurance contractors

Activision Blizzard pledged to eliminate workplace harassment  via a new committee, though it received heavy scrutiny for including several board members on the panel. High-profile figures from  PlaystationXbox and  Nintendo  were among the many to condemn Activision Blizzard’s actions during this tribulation time at the company.
