AHMEDABAD: With 31 cases, the state again breached 30-plus barrier in daily Covid-19 positive cases after three days. The active cases reached 208 as patient discharge was recorded at 14.
The new positive cases included 5 each from Jamnagar and Vadodara cities, 4 from Valsad, 3 each from Surat city and district, 2 each from Ahmedabad and Rajkot cities, Anand, Junagadh, Kutch districts, and 1 from Navsari.
All five cases from Jamnagar were from family of a doctor. The local authorities said that they don’t have any travel history. “After a 72-year-old person of the family complained of fever and tested positive of Covid, the entire family was tested thereafter. While four are being treated in home isolation, the senior citizen has been shifted to a hospital,” said an official.
