PUDUCHERRY: The Union territory of Puducherry reported 34 fresh Covid-19 cases even as 51 patients recovered bringing down the active cases to 280 on Saturday. Four of them are undergoing treatment in hospitals while the rest are under home isolation and treatment.
Puducherry reported the maximum fresh cases with 18 followed by Karaikal (11), Yanam (5). Mahe did not report any fresh cases. Puducherry has the maximum number of active cases with 217 followed by Karaikal (43), Yanam (19) and Mahe (1). The positivity rate of the samples (847) tested on Saturday stood at 4%. Healthcare authorities have so far tested 24.1 lakh swab samples of which 20.41 lakh samples returned negative.
