Acting tough, JPDCL disconnects power supply to 100 industrial and commercial defaulters

JAMMU: Continuing its drive against chronic defaulters, the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) acted tough against Industrial and Commercial defaulters and disconnected power supply of more than 100 consumers who are wilful defaulters of PDD and have pending arrears running into Lakhs.

"Various big Industrial houses including Jai maa Disposables, Fresh bakes, Ishita Industries, MG Industries among others was disconnected today to target high-profile and persistent delinquent customers, official spokesperson said here today.

He said, "Since, the Industries are being given high priority by the government of UT of J&K JPDCL has made special effort to provide continuous power to Industries including dedicated feeders to the Industries to ensure quality power to the Industries."

"In spite of such facilities certain Industrial houses and still not paying their electricity dues on time, her said, adding, "owners of the industries were sensitised towards paying electricity bills so that the power deficit could be reduced."

"Some of the big Industrial houses also have huge pending arrears and strict action shall be taken against those who fail to clear their dues in next few days," he added.
