CLEVELAND _ Apparently basketball discussions with Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue during his leave of absence to address health issues are off the table.
Associate head coach Larry Drew said he spoke to Lue after Monday's home victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, but they didn't discuss team matters.
That's a change from Monday's postgame, when Drew said he would be consulting Lue on lineups and rotation issues while Lue is away. Lue said in a statement he was having heart problems and problems sleeping; reportedly he has also been coughing up blood.
Lue was going to try new medication and Drew said he was encouraged by their latest conversation.
"We talk about everything but basketball," Drew said before Wednesday night's game against the Raptors at Quicken Loans Arena. "He's on the right trail of recovering and I'm really happy to hear that from him. So I'll talk to him again tomorrow and hopefully he'll be even better tomorrow."
