ACT residents who visited NSW exposure sites instructed to isolate

A new health directive has been issued for ACT residents who visited Sydney's eastern beaches recently after two cases of COVID-19 were identified in NSW.

Several shopping centres, shops and entertainment venues at Bondi Junction have been identified as possible exposure sites, including David Jones and Myer.

A potential exposure site has also been identified in Vaucluse.

Canberra residents who visited the Bondi and Vaucluse venues at various exposure periods between midday June 11 and June 15 must follow health advice.

Residents are required to contact ACT Health on (02) 5124 6209, complete an online declaration form, immediately quarantine for 14 days since last visiting the exposure location and get tested, regardless of symptoms.

A Sydney man in his 60s was identified as a positive case of the virus on Wednesday, with a close contact of the man subsequently identified as having contracted the virus.

The man, a driver who transports international flight crew, was reportedly unvaccinated.
