ACT reports one new COVID-19 case

Bookings are availabe for booster shots at COVID-19 vaccination clinics, ACT Health says. (AAP)

The ACT has found one new COVID-19 case in its latest reporting period, meaning the territory has 70 active cases.

Four COVID-19 patients are in hospital as of 8pm on Saturday, with two in intensive care but neither requiring ventilation.

There were 1207 negative COVID-19 tests in the 24 hours to 9am on Sunday.

ACT Health noted the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation is now recommending a COVID-19 booster vaccination for anyone aged 18 years and older, five months after their second vaccine dose.

"Bookings at ACT government COVID-19 vaccination clinics for this updated booster interval are available now," it said.

The ACT continues to enjoy the highest vaccination rate in the country, with more than 98 per cent of residents aged 12 and over fully vaccinated with two doses.
