ACT Policing is investigating a Christmas Eve car crash that involved one of its own vehicles.

Police responded to the crash at the intersection of Anthony Rolfe Avenue and Gundaroo Drive, Gungahlin, about 10am.

Paramedics from the ACT Ambulance Service treated people at the scene for minor injuries. No one was taken to hospital.

The northbound lane of Anthony Rolfe Avenue was closed to traffic for one hour.

An ACT Policing spokesperson said the police vehicle involved in the crash had been responding to a priority one call, and had lights and sirens activated at the time.

A priority one call is one in which officers are responding to what is considered a life-threatening or critical incident.
